Parador Design Edition Floor Fields by Alfredo Häberli - Floor fields between chaos and order

Soils are decomplicated solids on which we move consciously or unconsciously. The gaze always wanders downwards, but it is usually the result of a fascinating, provocative key stimulus, in order to be tautly bound to the underground in its detail. Floor design from the brand manufacturer PARADOR® sets new standards by individually emphasising the creative power of artistic creation on the aspect of spatial vision.

Collaboration with renowned artists and designers opens up new ways to give a room that certain something. Newly interpreted floor fields between supposed chaos and order, as in the design study FLOOR FIELDS created by artist and designer Alfredo Häberli.

Alfredo Häberli

Born in 1964 in Buenos Aires, Alfredo Häberli is considered a virtuoso in his field. Growing up in Switzerland, he studied industrial design at the Academy of Art and Design with distinction, and as a result, together with a colleague, set up a studio. With the opening of his own studio Alfredo Häberli Design Development in Seefeld, Zurich, he successfully worked together with renowned industry giants such as BMW, Camper, Georg Jensen and others.

Alfredo Häberli is known for the design of still lifes in everyday objects. His thinking refers to basic observation. The results of this search were exhibited in 2008 at the Museum of Design Zurich as the monographic exhibition Surround Things and in 2016 as the future show Spheres - Perspectives in Precision & Poetry for BMW at the Design Museum Danmark.

Parador FLOOR FIELDS laminate - individual expressiveness for your room

According to Häberli's taste, the floor, as a co-determining element of a room, should above all have one thing in common: it should have an effect, generate feelings and decisively influence and emphasise the character of the room. From the mouth of the designer, this is guaranteed by "a balance between character and neutrality".

According to the artist, the Laminate Flooring Edition LIV stands for diversity and independence. The composite design of different colour series of planks, ranging between beige, white and black on the surface, creates a disagreement of chessboard patterned arrangements of rectangular shape. Through creative dislocation, order becomes visible only at second glance and shapes every room through modern design.

In contrast, the laminate flooring LOU convinces with its minimalist stone look of homogeneous colour and structure. The marbled surface impresses with its straightforward simplicity, which is characterised by a clear design. As a basis and background for the further development of the YLO & ENA collections, LOU appears discreet in every living area. In contrast, the geometric circular and longitudinal sections of the other two continuing collections resemble structural pictures made of natural material. Mineral-related works of art, which were brought to completion in the Parador laminate FLOOR FIELDS.
