The underlay Vinclic Classic Smart with non-slip surface is specially designed for acoustic insulation of floating LVT design floors (LVT= Luxury Vinyl Tiles) with Click System. Among other things, it can be installed in damp rooms as well as above floor heating systems, since a vapour barrier is integrated. Thanks to its high compressive stress, it is also well suited for heavily frequented rooms. The overlapping edge and the adhesive strips make the laying of this underlay particularly easy.

Why do you need acoustic insulation?

Although design floors are quieter than laminate or parquet flooring, you cannot move on them without making a sound. This means that there is always a certain amount of walking sound and therefore also footfall sound. If they are sensitive to noise, or if the floor is to be laid in a sensitive environment, acoustic insulation is therefore a good idea.

How is the Ewifoam Vinclic Classic Smart underlay laid?

Before you start laying the flooring, you must ensure that the subfloor is dry, firm, free of cracks, level, resistant to tension and compression and clean. With a mineral substrate, the residual moisture must not be too high either. In the case of a cement or calcium sulphate screed without underfloor heating, it may be 2.0%; if underfloor heating is present, the value is 1.8%. Roll out the underlay on the floor. The laminated side comes to the top. Let the individual tracks butt against each other. Now remove the protective film from the self-adhesive strips and stick the overlap edge with the self-adhesive strips. You can then start laying the floor covering. Observe the installation instructions of the manufacturer.
