More Information
This force of nature deserves the highest recognitionThe
tree species Ipé can be used for terrace construction with a clear conscience. Ipé (Lapacho Amarillo) comes mainly from South America. The wood is mainly found in the regions of Brazil, but also in Paraguay, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. The entire growth is considered to be particularly valuable. The Incas already used the extracts obtained from the bark. The beneficial concentrates have made a name for themselves as a popular healing and enjoyment tea. But the tree, which grows to a height of almost 30 metres, contains even more amazing powers. It is not for nothing that the bestseller from far away is also called ironwood or diamond nut. These two terms already allow first conclusions that the wood has an extraordinary hardness. Anyone who buys an Ipé Prime smooth wooden terrace can therefore assume that the laying elements will always present themselves in a dimensionally stable and resistant shape. But there are even more highly specific product properties
  • The drying process is very slow and gentle until a wood moisture content of approx. 16 to 18 % is reached
  • The surface of the planks is non-slip and almost does not splinter at all
  • Small rough spots, fine cracks as well as alternating twisted growth occur only sporadically
  • With the durability class I (very durable according to DIN 350-2), the outstanding quality is once again emphasized
  • The manufacturer has chosen a grooved version for the profiling of the visible side
An all-rounder through and throughThe
terrific value contributes to the fact that the construction can be used in many outdoor areas. Whether bridges, pool surrounds or terraces, the natural product convinces both optically and technically with a very high level. Accordingly, the planks can be laid freely and without a roof. With the smooth surface, the planking is absolutely trendy. Thanks to this noble design, a floor appearance is created as if from a single mould. As the fastening systems are fixed from below, neither drill holes nor screw heads disturb the magnificent picture synthesis.
Personal taste decidesThe
large natural colour spectrum immediately makes this wooden decking an extraordinary eye-catcher. The planks are often characterised by a yellowish hue. Depending on the incidence of light, this can even reveal a spectacular brown-reddish gradation. But light, dark and even olive-brown shades are just as possible. A stripe-like arrangement is always part of the wood grain. These components run very closely and densely together. What remains is an even and particularly stylish laying pattern.
