An oak floor with a herringbone pattern is the epitome of a classic wooden floor. With most wood floors, installing this herringbone pattern is decidedly challenging and should be left to professionals. Not so with this Meister Lindura wood floor: Here, only one type of plank is needed for the herringbone pattern, and and thanks to the specially developed UniZip connection system, you can - with a bit of craftsmanship - lay this floor yourself using a floating method. Alternatively, "Parkett Kaiser" offers you a professional installation service. The surface of the Meister Lindura wood floor is ultra-matt lacquered. For this purpose, a formaldehyde-free, UV-cured acrylic lacquer is used. This makes the surface particularly easy to clean as well as resistant to stains and micro-scratches. Before varnishing, the oak wear layer is brushed. This treatment results in a particularly rustic visual effect. The circumferential micro joint creates a discreet joint pattern, so that the individual planks are not so strongly emphasized, but the impression of a smooth surface is created. This makes the wood floor look natural and elegant at the same time.

Before you install this Meister Lindura wood floor

Wood reacts to changes in humidity and temperature fluctuations. Therefore, the planks must have at least 48 hours to acclimatize in the room before installation. To do this, lay the unopened packages with the planks flat on the floor. Here, the room temperature should be at least 15 °C and the humidity between 30% and 65%. You can lay the planks on concrete or screed, old wooden or tiled floors. You must remove carpets or rugs before laying the planks. It is possible to lay the planks over underfloor heating. For installation, the subfloor must be solid, clean, level and dry. Even means that unevenness of more than 3 mm height must be leveled before installation. Dry means that the residual moisture of a mineral substrate must not exceed 2% CM, with underfloor heating 1.8% CM. For anhydride screed, the values are 0.5% CM and 0.3% CM, respectively. (The CM denotes the measurement method)Except when installing on an old wood floor, you must install a moisture barrier or a combination of impact sound insulation and moisture barrier between the subfloor and the wood floor.Without an expansion joint, you can install a maximum area of 10m x 10m.
