More Information
Low splintering and a beautiful appearance are the order of the dayWooden terraces are
taking all property owners' hearts by storm. This fact is due to the fact that the raw material is versatile and looks very natural. The wooden terrace Ipé Prime grooved is a proof of this. This construction is a beautiful connection between house and garden and at the same time spreads a Mediterranean flair. In addition, the grooved visible side does not heat up in the summer as is the case with other terrace coverings. Therefore, children as well as adults can walk over the floor surface with bare feet to their heart's content. The Ipé tree species is also known for its splinter-free appearance. Only very rarely can a splinter be seen on the top layer. The wood species can protect itself against decay caused by the weather. Essential oils are stored in the core, which activate the cell protection. Thanks to this magic potion, insects and other pests literally bite their teeth out at the force of nature. The extract even ensures that the pests do not even dare to approach this top-class product. With these outstanding performance features, the top product is in a completely different league
  • Regular maintenance with decking oil and end edge wax visibly increases the durability of the article
  • A particularly high-quality product, as knots and insect holes (pinholes) as well as slight bleeding occur only rarely
  • The wood is characterized by good durability as well as high compressive and flexural strength
  • There is only a moderate tendency to swelling and shrinkage
  • The excellent condition is rewarded with durability class I (very durable according to DIN 350-2)
The
Ipé wood is inevitably light brown in colour. In the course of time, the colour can darken. The heartwood is generally darker than the sapwood. Therefore it is clearly distinguishable from the heartwood. There are no major deviations in the wood grain. The structure is rather fine and dense. The radial surface occasionally shows glossy streaks, which are caused by the interlocked growth. The overall appearance is incredibly aesthetic. The best way to clean the decking
is
when it is dry. Then you can use a broom to sweep up loose debris such as leaves, small twigs, grains of sand or grit most easily. Soak more stubborn stains with water. Then run a scrubbing brush over them and rinse the affected area with clean water. A thorough cleaning is recommended, especially in spring. For this purpose, it is best to use patio wood cleaner and patio oil. With these two concentrates, algae, moss and other pests have a very bad chance. In return, you can look forward to a beautifully prepared floor surface.
