The outer tissue layer of the cork oak or the Amur cork tree in plant physiology is, in terms of material technology, a material with unique properties. The dead and air-filled cells of the so-called periderm are versatile and convince with their low thermal conductivity and pronounced hydrophobicity. Visually, however, it is above all the depth of colour and pore structure that gives cork flooring its striking appearance. The floor covering, which can only be laid in living areas, is firmly joined together with a patented CORKLOC® - Click connection and has been designed without joints or bevels. Easy handling makes it easy to lay, and the brand manufacturer WICANDERS® has issued a 10-year guarantee for the interior. With a use class of 23, the floor can be laid anywhere, except in damp areas. This is done floating and can also be installed over underfloor heating.

The appearance of the cork veneer is protected on the surface by a wear layer, which is non-slip and easy to clean. This makes the flooring age-appropriate. Equipped with an HDF board at the core, the stability of each tile is excellently upgraded and first choice. Structurally convincing, the cork flooring comes to the fore with its positive ecological balance, which has been tested several times. The now irregularly protruding cracks, pores and inclusions are striking and extremely brute. However, this gives no indication whatsoever of the air-elastic lightness that is created when the floor covering is walked on. The appearance therefore gives no indication of the structural quality. The decor, which can thus be assigned to the used look, urban style and other finesses, is the eye-catcher par excellence and at best comparable to the genie, which left traces of aging on the old wine bottle.
