This means that mop water is no problem for the laminate because it can withstand standing water for four hours. On the one hand, this is due to the melamine surface, which is impermeable to water. On the other hand, the joint tightness of the click connection system ensures that hardly any water can penetrate the floor. Requirements for the subfloor for laying the laminateThecorrect laying of the laminate includes the preparation of the subfloor. This must be firm, crack-free, clean, dry and even. Even means that unevenness greater than 3 mm must be levelled out. If the subfloor is a mineral floor, the residual moisture must not exceed 2%. If underfloor heating is integrated, this value drops to 1.8 %. If the substrate is an anhydrite screed, the residual moisture must not exceed 0.5 % without underfloor heating and 0.3 % with heating.
