In order for you to really enjoy your laminate flooring for such a long time, you need to keep a few things in mind when installing it. This Parador laminate flooring is mainly made of wood, a material that reacts to ambient temperature and humidity. Therefore, the laminate planks need at least 48 hours to acclimatise in the room before installation. To do this, lay the unopened laminate packages flat on the floor. During this time and during installation, the room temperature should be 17 - 24° C, and the relative humidity 35 - 60%.The subfloor on which you want to lay the laminate must be dry, clean, level and firm. If the substrate is mineral - e.g. screed, concrete, stone - you will need a vapour barrier in the form of a 0.2 mm thick PE film. You lay this between the subfloor and the laminate.
