Underlay materials for the perfect installation of your new laminate flooring

Parador laminate flooring from the Trendtime 6 range is installed as a floating floor. When a rigid floor covering such as laminate is installed as a floating floor, impact sound insulation must be used because the floor forms a resonance body with the subfloor that amplifies walking and impact sound. The impact sound insulation dampens the sound and thus ensures a pleasant silence both in the room itself (walking sound) and in the rooms below (impact sound). If you want to lay the laminate over a water-bearing underfloor heating system or on a mineral subfloor, you will need a vapour barrier. This ensures that no moisture can penetrate the laminate flooring from below. You can install this vapour barrier separately as a separate 0.2 mm thick PE foil on the subfloor. As an alternative, Parador offers you a combination of vapour barrier and impact sound insulation.
