In the private sector it is ideal for more heavily frequented rooms such as corridors or kitchens. In commercial areas it can be used for classrooms or offices, for example. Chair castors leave no permanent changes on this floor. It is equally insensitive to the movement of furniture. The quality of this floor covering is also expressed in the manufacturer's guarantee: 25 years for private use, 5 years for commercial use.To prepare the subfloor before layingIn general, the substrate for laying the laminate must be clean, dry, level and firm. In this context, level means that all unevenness greater than 3 mm must be levelled out with an appropriate filler. Carpeting is not suitable as a subfloor. With a mineral subfloor, the residual moisture for an unheated cement screed must not exceed 2 CM % and for a heated 1.5 CM %. For an unheated anhydrite screed the maximum value is 0.5 CM % and for a heated anhydrite screed it is 0.3 CM %. With a mineral subfloor, a vapour barrier must always be installed. However, if you want to install the laminate over an old wooden floor, you must not use a vapour barrier. The wood must be able to breathe. Linoleum, PVC and CV coverings are suitable as a subfloor for laminate flooring if they are firmly glued and do not have any loose spots. Furthermore, there must be no underfloor heating.
