What you need to check before installation

• The substrate must be clean (vacuumed) for installation.
• It must be firm and free of cracks.
• An important point is also the evenness of the substrate. Unevenness of a maximum of 2 mm in height may be present over a length of one metre.
• In addition, the subfloor must be properly dried out before laying. For an unheated cement screed, the residual moisture must not exceed 2 % CM, for a heated cement screed this value is 1.8 % CM. For calcium sulphate screeds, the values are 0.5 % CM or O.3 % CM. The CM refers to the measuring method. The CM method is the only measuring method recognised by courts and should therefore always be chosen.
• The surface temperature of the substrate must be at least 15 °C during installation.
• The room temperature must be at least 18 °C.
• The relative humidity in the room should be between 40% and 70%.
