In any case, this Egger organic flooring brings beauty and cosiness into your home. It is suitable for all rooms with the exception of wet rooms.Why is this Egger Home organic floor so particularly sustainable?The flooring is made of cork and natural wood. The wood comes from certified sustainable forestry. The cork is mainly recycled material. But cork is also a particularly sustainable material in itself. The cork is extracted from the bark of the cork oak. However, no tree has to be felled for this cork extraction. The bark of the cork oak can be partially peeled off every few years without harming the tree. During the regeneration of the bark, the tree absorbs a particularly large amount of CO2. Furthermore, cork oak forests are an important habitat for endangered animal and plant species in the Mediterranean region. No substances harmful to health are used in the production of Egger Home organic soil. For this reason, the flooring has been awarded the "Blue Angel" for freedom from harmful substances.How is the Egger Home organic floor constructed?The floor covering consists of several layers. The core is an HDF board of wood. Above and below each layer is a layer of cork. The lower cork board is used for footfall sound insulation, the upper one for comfort when walking and standing on the floor covering. On top of the upper cork layer lies the HD-Design layer. In this case it shows a white oak panel. The design layer is covered by a UV-resistant, transparent protective layer.
