Its surface is made of a wood imitation that can hardly be distinguished visually from real wood. This light, friendly oak surface creates a cosy, natural atmosphere without dominating the room. Thestructure of the Meister design flooring series flexThecore of this flooring is the swell-protected AquaSafe special board, which is made from naturally renewable materials. It also contains an edge impregnation. On top it is covered by the SilentTouch surface. This consists of a PVC-free PUR-based polymer layer. To increase the dimensional stability of the floor covering, there is also a counteracting layer underneath the special board.Where can this design floor be installed?The floor is suitable for all living rooms as well as for damp rooms, such as the bathroom. It is not suitable for rooms with floor drainage and for wet rooms. Wet rooms are defined here as, for example, steam baths, saunas or shower cubicles. Meister design flooring is also not intended for outdoor use. However, it can be used in commercial areas without any problems.This design floor is particularly suitable for renovationsWitha construction height of only 5 mm, this design floor is particularly renovation-friendly. This low thickness of the flooring means that doors usually do not have to be sanded down for the floor to fit underneath. Old floor coverings, such as tiles, do not have to be removed before installation. The AquaSafe special board in the design floor ensures, among other things, that tiles and minor unevenness in the subfloor cannot push through. This eliminates the need for time-consuming preparation of the subfloor. The floating installation with the help of the Multiclic connection system is particularly suitable for installation by laymen.Why you need an insulation underlay for this design floorIf you are laying a floor covering on a mineral subfloor (screed) or over a hot water underfloor heating system, you always need a vapour barrier, also known as a moisture barrier. This is either a single, thin PE foil or integrated in an impact sound insulation. As the name suggests, it ensures that no moisture can penetrate the design floor from below. When installing this design floor as a floating floor, you should also install impact sound insulation. The floating floor forms a resonance body with the subfloor, which amplifies the impact sound.
