The rustic beauty of this parquet floor immediately catches the eye. Here, woods with strong structural and colour variations were deliberately chosen to support the natural impression of the wood floor. Therefore, individual sapwood parts, occasional cracks and larger knots are also part of the surface appearance. Larger cracks and knots have been expertly filled. This is how you get a floor full of character, which is an absolutely unique piece.

How is this Meister parquet floor constructed?

Perhaps you have the idea that a parquet floor consists of solid pieces of wood. There is such a thing - this is the so-called solid wood parquet. This Meister parquet, on the other hand, is a multi-layer parquet. Of course, it is also made of wood, but it is constructed from several individual layers. The 2.5 mm thick top layer of oak has a natural oiled surface. The parquet floor can therefore be walked on immediately after installation and does not need to be oiled or waxed. Underneath the wear layer is the HDF middle layer with a volume weight of 890 kg/m³. An HDF board is a board made of highly compressed, pressed wood fibres. Underneath is a counter layer of Nordic spruce veneer. This construction has the advantage of being more environmentally friendly and cheaper than solid wood parquet. In addition, it can better adapt to the fluctuations in humidity.

When can Meister parquet be laid over underfloor heating?

The installation of this parquet over hot water underfloor heating systems is unproblematic. If it is an electrically operated underfloor heating system, it must not be a foil heating system. The pipes and heating coils must be installed over the entire surface in the screed or concrete. When the heating system is in operation, the surface temperature must not exceed the maximum value of 29 °C. Foil heating systems are only approved if they are part of a self-regulating heating system and the maximum surface temperature of 29 °C is maintained.
