The 14 mm thick planks of this parquet form a solid, resilient and durable floor. The 3.6 mm thick wear layer means that this parquet can be sanded several times, making it an investment for life.This is what the "harmonious" grade means. Oak wood is chosen for this grade, which creates a calm appearance with a natural, balanced play of colours. Some firmly intergrown brown heartwood and knots are contained in this wood. There are no sapwood parts. However, professionally filled knots may be present.The structure of these parquet planksThisMeister parquet is made up of three layers. It consists of 100% wood from sustainable forestry. The core of the parquet is formed by a middle layer of high-quality spruce. On top of this lies the 3.6 mm thick wear layer made of oak. This is protected by a breathable natural oil surface. This natural surface emphasises the structure and grain of the wood. It also has a moisture-regulating effect and thus ensures a pleasant and healthy room climate. Under the middle layer there is a counter layer of spruce veneer. It gives the planks greater dimensional stability and optimum strength.Useful accessories for this Meister ParquetSincethis Meister Parquet is laid as a floating floor, you need an insulating underlay as impact sound insulation. Without this underlay, the parquet planks would form a resonance body with the subfloor, which would amplify the room and impact sound. If the parquet is to be laid on a mineral subfloor, over underfloor heating, on a tiled or natural stone floor, you will also need a PE foil as a vapour barrier. Or you can choose a Meister impact sound insulation with integrated vapour barrier. The vapour barrier ensures that no moisture can penetrate the parquet from below. If, on the other hand, the parquet is to be laid on an old wooden floor, you must not install a vapour barrier.For the transition between the parquet and the wall, Meister offers you numerous types of skirting boards in different sizes, shapes and colours. The transition from the parquet to another floor covering can be designed with the help of a transition or levelling profile. If the floor coverings have the same height, choose a transition profile, otherwise a levelling profile.
