The lively grain is an interesting eye-catcher without appearing restless. The brushed surface treated with natural oils brings out the structure of the planks particularly well. At the same time, it protects the parquet from environmental influences and thus gives it its longevity. As the oils penetrate deep into the parquet and can dry slowly, the breathability of the oak wood is preserved. Therefore, this parquet can continue to absorb or release moisture from the air in the room, contributing to a balanced indoor climate.Why is this parquet made up of three layers?You may have the idea that a parquet floor is made of solid wooden planks. There is such a thing - it is called solid wood parquet. However, three-layer parquet has several advantages over this.Wood is a material that reacts to humidity and room temperature by shrinking or expanding. In the Meister parquet presented here, the layers are offset against each other in such a way that they largely compensate for these expansion movements. This parquet consists of a 3.6 mm thick wear layer of oak wood, which is protected by the natural oil layer. Underneath this is the middle layer made of spruce. Underneath there is a counter layer of Nordic spruce veneer. This total structure has a thickness of 14 mm and a length of 2.20 m. The wood is then used as a base. This construction means that considerably less of the valuable, slow-growing oak wood is required. The three-layer parquet is therefore more environmentally friendly than the solid wood version.Since less precious wood is required for its production, the three-layer parquet is also cheaper than a solid wood parquet.This parquet is equipped with a click connection system. This makes it very easy to install. The installation is floating, that is, without the use of glue or paste. The parquet can therefore also be removed at any time without any problems.
