Construction of this vinyl floorThe centre of the tile consists of the plastic base layer. It ensures dimensional stability and is responsible for the impression behaviour. On its underside the countermove follows. On the top side of the base layer is the decorative film. It is followed by the wear layer. It is 0.55 mm thick and consists of the particularly hard plastic polyurethane, often abbreviated as PU. The thickness of this wear layer determines the service classes of the floor. This layer is covered by the transparent surface structure layer. This is then followed by the surface sealing.What you need to consider when laying the floorVinyl reacts to temperature changes. Therefore, the floor should have 48 hours to acclimatise before installation. To do this, place it flat on the floor in the unopened boxes. Before you start laying the floor, make sure that the subfloor is firm, level, free of cracks, dry, clean and absorbent. This vinyl floor is very thin with a total height of 2.5 mm. As nice as this is for renovation work, it also means that even the slightest unevenness in the subfloor will quickly be pushed through. Carpets or fitted carpets are unsuitable as a base. However, you can lay this floor covering well over tiles or an old wooden floor. Provided this is solid. For installation, the floor temperature should be at least 15 °C.
