Advantages of full-surface gluingDue to its low installation height, this floor covering is ideal for renovation work. In most cases, it will therefore not be necessary to shorten door frames so that the floor fits underneath. The tiles cannot slip - even under heavy load. This is particularly advantageous in heavily burdened areas in the commercial and industrial sectors. The glued floor has much better acoustic properties than a floating floor. Therefore, separate impact sound insulation is usually not required. The omission of the impact sound insulation is extremely favourable for installation over a warm water underfloor heating system, because the heat transmission resistance remains lower and therefore more heat arrives directly in the room. In addition, the bonded joint is more durable because there are no bending forces acting on an adhesive joint. In the residential sector this is usually insignificant, but in commercial or industrial companies it can make a significant difference.Disadvantages of full-surface gluingThe full-surface gluing of a floor covering is technically demanding. It is therefore only recommended for experienced do-it-yourselfers. Those who are less experienced should leave this work to an expert. As this floor covering is very thin, the subfloor must be really clean and even. Even small uneven areas are quickly pushed through. A glued floor cannot be removed so easily. | |
