Structure of the vinyl floorThe base layer ensures good dimensional stability and indentation behaviour. Below it is the countermove with waffle back structure. It serves for balance and optimal laying. The decorative film lies on the base layer. It makes the various optics possible. The 0.55 mm thick wear layer is located on the decorative film. It is responsible for the high durability of the plastic floorboards. It is also decisive for the classification into service classes. The wear layer is covered by the layer with the surface structure. The different embossings of this layer provide an authentic look and feel. The surface structure layer is protected by a surface sealant. This sealing also makes the floor easy to maintain and clean.What you need to consider when gluing the floorTo achieve an optimal result, a number of conditions must be met. The relative humidity of the room should be below 75% and the floor should have a temperature of at least 15°C. In addition, the substrate must be clean, dry, firm, level, resistant to tension and pressure, free of cracks and absorbent. You should only use a special adhesive for gluing. You can buy this, for example, at ParkettKaiser. If the floor is to be bonded to a calcium sulphate screed, it must first be sanded or at least brushed down and then vacuumed.To glue the floor, apply the adhesive to one row of plastic planks at a time with a spatula. Please remember to allow for an expansion joint of at least 10 mm towards the wall. Then press the boards firmly into the adhesive bed. Note the processing time of the adhesive! | |
