The variety of Parador Engineered Wood Flooring Basic 11-5 Rustic Oak Ship's FloorThedifferent types of surface treatment result in a very different appearance of the original same engineered wood. "Hand scraped" means that the surface has been brushed, sawed and finished by hand. This emphasizes the natural structure of the oak wood. If the parquet is only brushed, the wood structure is not only visible, but can also be felt. The parquet achieves a very archaic appearance when it is only sawn. This is mainly due to the saw marks running at an angle to the grain. The "Wavescraped" treatment leads to irregular small depressions in the wood. Apart from that, the parquet looks smooth and rather elegant. The structure of this Parador engineered woodThanks tothe three-layer structure, Parador planks Basic 11-5 Rustic Oak Ship's Floor are very dimensionally stable. Wood is a natural material that expands or contracts with changing humidity. To prevent this from causing unsightly cracks in the parquet, the planks are made up of three different layers which at least partially compensate for these mini-movements. The uppermost layer, the top layer, consists of 2.5 mm oak wood. This top layer can be processed in various ways. Irrespective of this, it is provided with all-round swelling protection. The spruce-fir middle layer lies under the top layer. It is followed by a counter-pull veneer. Each plank has a wooden tongue on one long side and a groove of the patented click system on the other side.
